Hi, Emily.
I'm glad I have a fellow "terrible mother" here. I remember when one of my kids said, "Mom, I'm thinking about not going to college, just staying home and working." My answer was, "Think again!" All these mothers were crying because their kids were going off to college. Not me!
I'm much more motherly around my grandchildren. Now, if my kids want to come over, I let them know that they'd better have at least one grandchild with them! :)
Blessings,
Mary

don't get me wrong!  When my older 2 were younger I was counting down!  Counting Down the minutes!  We used to tease them and tell them that for their 18th birthday we would say their present is in the driveway!  When they went to see what it was we were gonna lock the doors!  Now I would give anything to go back and do it right! If I could go back and do it over I know I'd be better now!  (Isn't that what we all say!)
I still have one left at home and I know how much I hated seeing the other 2 go!  So!  I am hangin on to this one! LOL!
Thats funny about them NEEDING to have one of the Grandkids with them!  I agree!  I always want to see my grandson!

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me." Erma Bombeck

That's funny, Kim ("your present is in the driveway," then lock the door). Funny and sort of mean. Yes, I know what you're saying, about wanting to go back and do things right. I teased my kids A LOT, but they knew I loved them. Surprisingly enough, they SAY they only have good memories of their mother. :)

Yes. Having an only child makes a big difference, I'm sure. Want to borrow one of mine? :)

funny...  you don't look old....  I you think you look, old then old is sexy...  yes, i've trademarked that statement and it is in no way affliated with any Mc Donald's or Baskin Robin's 31 flavors ice creams.
