Checking In

I hadn't been online in a while so I thought I would say hey.  I have definitely been on a major roller coaster ride this past month.  I'm sitting in the hospital in Wichita recuperating from sepsis that invaded my picc line.  I was a sick puppy for a few days.  But now I'm out of the ICU and in a regular room feeling better than I have for ages and bored out of my mind.  I'm still waiting on the hole in my stomach to heal so I can eat and drink again, hopefully soon.  I'm getting sick of getting my nutrition from a bag in my veins, but I guess everything takes its sweet time.  To make matters even more interesting, I got laid off of my job on 9-6 right before this latest hell broke loose, so I really need to get better now so I can find another job.  Today is a good day and I am pretty positive but there have definitely been several days lately when I wondered why I did this.  But I believe everything happens for a reason and God will provide.

I am so glad to hear from you. I was just thinking about you last night. I'm sorry  you have had such a rough time. Are your problems caused by your surgery? I can't even begin to imagine not being able to eat or drink, especially as long as you have had to deal with it. It definitely reminds me that being on the pre-op liquid diet is nothing worth complaining about. Things could be worse!
That stinks about losing your job. It's really terrible to have that to worry about when you are already dealing with so much.
On a brighter note, it's wonderful you are feeling better today. Keep putting your faith in God. You are right, He will provide.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hopefully things will continue to improve and they can get you out of the hospital soon.

Hi Kim, I didn't realize you had been back in the hospital again.  I'm so sorry for everything you have been through.  I thought about you and your daughter the other day.  I PM'd your daughter to see how things were but I haven't heard from her.  How is she doing?
I'm glad you are feeling better.  I hope you continue to improve and get back out so you can find a job and get back on your feet!
Keep us posted on how you are!  We want to hear That you are up and running! LOL!  Seriously!
Lots of hugs!
Kim

Sometimes the old stuff has to be torn away before new stuff can be built-the tearing away can be a little rough.  I'm glad you are on the mend.

Thanks as always for the continued support.  Melissa is having a few issues mainly with nausea but otherwise, she is doing pretty good.

Sweetie if anyone ever said WLS was a rosy journey THEY LIED!
do me a favor find some humor in all of this..it helps alot.
For me every complication I have had is a huge learning experience...and a chance to make me a better person. If I was closer I would be there to see ya and  I would make you laugh till your tush would shoot across the room and hit the mean nurse in her face....then we could call her buttface....
About your job Girl you deserve better than that...so its their lost not yours...
