Feeling discouraged this morning...

In case you didn't get the message from the others, STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALE.    This will so discourage you.  But, we all understand.  At my second visit after my initial consultation, I was excited because I knew my pants were baggier.   After 30 days I went in and gained 2 lbs.  I was SO bummed.  I always hate to admit it, but I actually started crying.  I thought I was never going to reach my goal.  But, had to go back like 2 weeks later, and I lost 12 lbs.  You will lose your weight fast and sometimes not at all, or very slowly.  This will happen after surgery too.  But, remember, this is a lifetime project.  I know you are trying to reach a goal within a specific time period, but have to look at the big picture at the same time.  EVERYONE, even Dr. Keller, griped at me for skipping the final shake of the day.  So, get it in, even though you may not feel like it.  Weight Wise will tell you it's necessary.  Good luck, and give the scales to your husband to hide except for one time a week.  Your doing great, Michael

Well I am finally home after a long day out.. I want to personally say thank you to each and every one of you for replying to my sincere post..  Your all right, that scale is just playing mind games and before the night is over it will be put up in my closet.  I do have a time frame in mind, but if I don't make it than that's fine. My time will come and it will come when everything is ready.  Right?  I had a GREAT workout today and it felt great to get back into the swings of things.   I don't need to be so hard on myself.  I find that I am a perfectionist and competetive in many ways.  And that competiveness came out this evening at my children's soccer game.   My daughter concored a goal this evening and if she can do it than I can do this as well.

Thanks for all of you for chiming in, and giving it to me straight.  Sometimes a Gal just needs the hard truth to fall into place.

Thanks again,
Sheila
