I am in need of insight from my fellow OKies. I returned from vacation Saturday and for the past week have been having as issue with nausea every time I eat. Being 10 weeks out this is fairly new. I have had no problems until the last 2 weeks. 1st week was having mild nausea but now it's every meal. What am I doing wrong. Also have only lost 45# which is kinda low for my liking. Any thoughts? Thank God I have you all knowing OH guys to lean on. Thanks Cindy

Cindy, I had some trouble like that early on as well.  I had to go back on my previcid for a while.  I'm now off of it again but I had acid reflux prior to WLS and had to use it then also.  You might try that or prilosec.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

You are not losing slowly!  You are kicking butt!

As for the nausea, are you still taking your Prilosec or Protonix or whatever the doc put you on for acid?  Reflux and acid can make you nauseous.  Plus, there is a tummy bug going around right now.  You might have that.

Get to feeling well soon!
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Did you go to Mexico or eat some funky things while you were gone?

And HappyCat is right!  (my big sister - she will say she's usually right! Ha!)  You are kicking butt!  45 pounds is incredible!

Okay first of all 45 lbs is freaking awesome!!  I have just now hit 45 lbs lost post op myself.  It sounds to me like you might be having acid reflux.  If that is not it, I have also heard some that have gall bladder issues and get sick after they eat.

nausea is like a mother inlaw that just wont stay put...as poste theres a virus going around.... plus you might have picked up something that did not agree with ya. i use sugar free peppermint disks and it helps.
as for the weight loss.....45 is awesome.....please dont think you should be losing more by now....cause when it slows down you will be upset

being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

I take meds for acid reflux and have forever. It's kinda like my TT is revolting. Drinking hasn't bothered me yet. I seem to get full quicker than I did. I have probably just gotten it broken in good and TT is keeping me inline. Thanks to all for your thoughts on the matter. I knew to go straight to the brains first. Hugs Cindy  Was only in S. Parde Island, and no I didn't make it to Mexico and no tequila.

Great pic of you, by the way! I had nausea for about a month starting after DD's wedding. Coincidence? Hmmmmm....

Anyway, it hung around with me until November. I used peppermint hot tea early in the morning until I couldn't stand it any longer and got a scrip for phenergren gel.

There IS something going around-I just got my first full nights sleep in a week last night-and now my father has it.  If you are eating high fat things, you might want to cut down in them a bit...for me, anything liquid and fatty (like a regular milk shake or premium ice cream) means a puke....maybe because it doesn't slow down-it just goes wham, right through and big amounts.  I do just fine with high fat cheese because I get full and stop before things go south.

Also be sure you're not slightly dehydrated from being on vacation and not sticking to drinking as much water as you should.  A lot of the people that have had to get fluids on board started with nausea -- drink, drink, drink !
