I don't post much, but I wanted to share this with my Okie friends.  Yesterday, I went to Stillwater and ran in my first 5K.  It was the Juke Joint Jog, which started and ended at Eskimo Joes...I have been training for it for months and the run was 7 months and 1 day since I had my surgert.  I actually had a pretty respectable time on 32 minutes.  After the run I went to Joe's with some friends and we watched the OSU game....it was really fun...just another wow moment for me!  Still trying to get healthy....I am so grateful for WLS, it has changed my life.  I feel like I am finally myself again.  Like the blanket of obesity was holding me down, and now I am free!!

Hi!  We were there at Eskimo Joe's this weekend. (It was my first time there) We saw the race start.  But I didn't know about it before hand.  Maybe next year I will be able to run in it also!  Thats something on my list!  To run!!!
I'm glad you were a success!
  How about those Cowboys!!!

thanks everyone...  Kim, how funny that you were there too!  Isn't Joe' s fun?  I went to college there and the run went through campus, so it was really cool and a blast from the past.  Maybe I will see you there next year...!

I graduated from OSU too so I have lots of happy memories too.

Congrats on your run.  I'm no expert but 32 minutes sounds really impressive to me!  What a huge accomplisment!  You should be so proud!
