I am new around here.....sort of
My name is LaDetra, and I am some what new here. I have been off and on reading posts for a few months, but I have been reading more regularly about a month ago. I am scheduled to have my surgery on Oct 23, and yes its fast approaching. I just wanted to take a sec and say hi and that this seems like a great group of folks.

WELCOME ABOARD!!! You are getting ready for the ride ofyour life!! I had the same surgery on 09.08.08 w/ Dr G and have
done really good. I have lost 45 lbs in 5 wks post op. SO see this is what this is all about. I can actually go outside in my
neighborhood and walk for the first time in yrs.
So go do it Girlfriend and I will be here for support and

Congratulations gal! You have made a wonderful decision to take control of your life. At 46, this is the most amazing thing in my life! I am loving every minute of it! (except the stalls - they suck!) But that is why we are here! To talk through this miraculous journey!
