Wow Charlotte!!! What a fantastic year it has been for you. Our tools are working aren't they. You've been such a roll model for me as well. I remember looking around and hearing stories at my first support meetings and thinking....if anyone can mess this up I can. That can't possibly be me one day. You were one with those stories that inspired me. Hearing your reports at meetings. We all needed to hear those. They are the stories that gave people like me so much HOPE. I get real emotional when I think about where I was and were I am. I thank you for sharing so much of yourself. I'm proud to consider you one of my friends today!!! Have a wonderful "Fall Break". I also have vacation scheduled and will take off with DH for his Fall Break as well. GO POKES!!!
Ok, I'm near tears here. What wonderful posts and friends. I sat there thinking the same thing, Deb. I thought..I'm gonna fail..How can this work for me? Wow, could it really work? All the same things we've all felt. I guess I thought I felt like I was monopolizing conversations at support group. I just get so darned excited when I'm around all of you that I can't help but want to share everything.
I guess I just want to help people learn and know that they can do it, and what a wonderful life lies waiting ahead if they're brave enough to take the first steps on the journey.
My sister-in-law is finally ready, and she's coming to the seminar on Friday night or Saturday morning. I will be with her holding her hand. I'm so excited. Her son and mine are the same age (6 months apart) and we were roomies in college until she had to quit. I love her so much and want her to have her health back, too. She can barely walk because her feet hurt her so much.
I wish I had all the money in the world to fund surgery for everybody whose insurance company won't pay.
I love you guys, and I am so glad that I found you. We all look so good and spiffy, and it's not camera trickery, either..even though Kim takes a mean pic!!
