Wow moment

OMG....I finally did it....Ruth was right....

I bought myself a pair of black full zip knee boots!!!!!!!! AND in a half size smaller than I normally wear. These are a size 9 and a half liquid joy!!!They're microfiber and cost me $15 from Anne's Resale. Now I'm on a quest for some flat black boots in leather. For the first time since I was 18 years old, I have knee boots. True knee boots that zip and don't fold over the tops or cut the tops, etc.

I also indulged in a pair of Brighton slides size 8 and a half!! I got those for $12 and they're normally 130!

You know, I don't think I'm ever going to pay full price for anything again, except the few things I can't live without at the Downtown Shop in Edmond..Bless her heart, RayAnne still does layaway..thank heavens!Otherwise, I couldn't afford to shop there.

A purse addiction?  Uh, I think you might have a secondary addiction lurking a little lower, near the foot area !

I love boots, but I loved them before WLS.  I even have a pair of pull up Wellies for slooging with the dog in the mud, just like a proper English dog woman....LOL.  Of course, I'm not dressed for it otherwise, I'm likely to wear my Wellies out with a pair of cutoffs and a torn t-shirt-those are my mudding clothes!

 

I really want a pair of the old Frye boots-but good god-a-mighty....have you seen the price on those things? 

I want knee high leather boots- really badly!  I hope my legs have lost enough weight that maybe I can get some this winter.  I might never take them off!  Anyone know the leg measurement to fit into knee boots?  I would like a target # to shoot for.

Frye boots? I loved mine in the 80's....tan with the cow skull on the front. Yeah, I've seen the prices. Thanks to Hollywood, they've skyrocketed.

Cat, I've seen leg circumferences online that say anything from 17-21 inches. I was shopping for fat calf boots when I found these. I just tried them on for the halibut, but I was shocked when they fit!

Okay I just had to add another reason to my reasons why I want to lose weight.  I want boots!!!!  I haven't even thought about the possibility that I could one day possible wear boots that zip up the leg and come almost to my knees.  Wow!!! So how small does your calf have to be to fit into a normal pair...15 inches or something?

Now I need to know where this Anne's Resale is, it sounds like a place that I need to go.  Since I don't live near the city I don't know of great places to go, but I can always go when I have my appointments at WW. The last time I could wear knee high zip boots was in grade school, I might be able to now, I love them, they are very sexy, maybe not on me but I like them anyway.         Lisa

Calf circumference from checking on the net says 17-19 inches. Large calf boots go to 21 inches. The ones I bought were microfiber so they had some "give."

can anyone say sexxxy?! that's what i think of when i think of calf-high boots!!

Boots sound like so much fun!!!  I used to wear Ropers, back in the day.  When I was 2 I had a pair of white go go boots!  LOL!  Maybe momma need to put that on her ta' do list!  LOL!
