I have been told cell phones will not work in Monterrey.  Any other things
I should know about?  Anyone used Dr. Zapata?  I'd like a support person
or people, close to Bartlesville, OK.  Thanks.

Pack elastic waist pants for the trip back.  Ask for a wheelchair at the airline desk on the return journey-it's a long day of travel, you will still be on liquids and tired.  Skip the pride thing and ask for the wheelchair.

If you are going alone, don't take a lot of "stuff".....you want to relax, not worry about your stuff.  Also, the incisions can bleed or leak a bit, so don't take your favorite new nightie (I learned that with gall bladder surgery).  If you are staying in a hotel, a big old sleep shirt and some slipper will do-in a hospital or clinic (they are usually colder) you might want to bring a hoodie or some sweat pants.

I took Gas X strips too.

Coming back, as for an inside seat so you don't have to get up and let other people pass to go to the bathroom and keep sipping water anyway-plane rides can dehydrate.

Don't know about Zapata or Monterrey, I went to TJ.

Thanks cat59.  I got the wheel chair, and am taking all your other advice.  Will be back on Friday,
and get back to you on  how it went.  I am taking a girlfriend with me for support.  Husband is
ok with it, but my mom lives with us, so he is staying to care for her.
Thanks again,
Judy

Let me just say, congrats on your surgery.  I would be so scared to fly somewhere. You are brave, and kudos on your journey!

Flying isn't that bad really-I flew a week to the day after gall bladder surgery, and two days after lap band surgery, and I was fine.  I got a little more tired both times, but neither time did the gas expand in my stomach and cause me to explode the plane, and even though you do feel bloated, there is no uncontrollable rudeness going on (my other fear).

Congrats on making the decision to improve your life through weightloss sugery!  I'm in Bartlesville...  I'll pm you with my cell number if you want to call and talk.  I had RNY almost 2 months ago.
