Carla (aka MamaCJ) called me yesterday after she had been out of surgery for awhile. She sounds great!! She had lapband done and is looking forward to posting as soon as she gets home. She just wanted me to say thanks for all your thoughts and prayers and is doing great!!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome to the losers bench!! And thanks Michelle for posting the update. I got home yesterday afternoon and took a long nap. I had forgotten how hard it is to sleep at the hospital, I know as a nurse how much has to be done with a post op patient so I should have been ready. LOL. Anyway, feeling good, walking and sip, sip,sipping water as ordered. I slept in the recliner last night, I think once the swelling in my belly goes down I will be able to lay down on a bed again. Not a lot of pain, just really sore all over but that is easing up today. Can't wait to update my ticker for the first time!

im glad everything went well , let me know if i can help in any way , i have been where you are ,,,, the only thing i can say is you will be very sore in the port area for quite awhile so dont panic , take care ... Luanne

Yes, today is much better than yesterday. I feel so relieved that I haven't been nauseous with the surgery, that's a great blessing. Thanks for the words of encouragement, I will definitely be asking questions about being banded.
