I know exactly how you feel. I am to have the same surgery with the same physician in 29, countem, 29 days. I cannot think about anything else! This month is sooo busy at work. I need my head on straight. But it is SO HARD!! 
I don't know if I'll be able to be a patient patient or not. How did your liquid diet go??

Liquid diet was not too bad, the worst times were when I was cooking for my family and knew I couldn't have any of that wonderful smelling food! Work was easy, I just stayed away from the cafeteria and made sure I had plenty of variety in what I could drink. Today the nurses on my unit ordered pizza, that was tough, especially as I had run out of things to eat because it was my last day to work and I didn't restock. Fortunately, I still had one packet of broth and that held me over to quitting time.
I am headed to bed now, have to be up at 3:30 to get ready to leave. Thanks for everything ya'll and I will be in touch!
