Dang, Pattye!  You are going to be eating chili until next April!  I am sure it will be wonderful.

I probably would have used 1/2 pound ground beef, some onion, a can of kidney beans, a can of diced tomatoes, garlic, and some William's chili seasoning in my baby crockpot.  Still would make tons of left overs.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Are there classes on how to cook for one?  Cause if there is I need them! Since I am having a tummy tuck and a abdominal repair surgery in the next couple of weeks I think the chili wont go to waste...Sling it in freezer bags and then into a bowl and presto 2 minutes being nuked and I have breakfast, lunch and dinner over and over again....

I think we need to have a chili party! ; )

Pattye, I'm sorry but how are you? I've been away for a bit and I'm behind on everything and everyone. Have you had your hernia surgery yet? If not, got a date?

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Shelley,
My hernia surgery was scheduled for Sept 29, and was postponed because I wanted my excess  skin removed. So on Wednesday the 1st I saw his associate who agreed to do a tummy tuck! But i have a wound that never healed from m last surgery so I went in Thursday and had surgery on my munis pubis....and I have a wound vac to boot... BTW I will never ever want a brazilian bikini wax.....even if one is ofered to me free of charge...the person that offers it will have a nose job..for their kindness

Wow ... when do you get your drain out?  I hope you're doing well.

I'm so happy for you on getting your tummy tuck soon ... and of course the hernia repair.

Be sure and let me know when you're having the hernia/tummy tuck surgery and I'll come up and visit.

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

I go Thursday and I PRAY that he will remove the vac then....And again PRAY that he will give me my date for the rest...The hernia is now sticking past my "girls" and I am kinda geting embarassed about it....Kinda bad when the hernia is more perky than the "girls"!
i will post on here when I am going back under the knife

That sounds great.  I agree, there needs to be glasses for cooking for one.  One of my many business ideas was a WLS line of storage products ....you'd just need to repackage existing small containers into bigger bundles and price them fairly.  I get most of my storage stuff from the dollar store in the baby department because yes, by the time I freeze it (especially with meat in it) and nuke it, it is ready to toss.

thats why I use freezer bags...its cheap and throwable...I am kinda frugal so I dont like paying extra for storage when the bags work

Hmmmm, those snack bags would be just the right size.  Maybe my problem is solved (well, one of them anyway).  How do you heat up your chili-do you take it out of the bag and put it in a bowl and nuke it?
