First of all...Congrats on your journey. I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
You might check with your surgeon's office for a supt group. The surgeon's I know of require a supt group meeting before and after your surgery with THEIR supt group!

The Weight Wise support group is a great group. Gornicheck has a support group at Intregris Baptist that meets twice a month. OWLO has one that meets a couple of times a month just for bandsters (don't know if you have to be a patient or not to attend).
We are technically a support group. I looked into setting one up here in OKC, attended OH training, but decided we have enough good and active support groups in the area and would rather pitch in with the existing groups than go out on my own.
I had surgery in Mexico in 07 and beyond a "why did you go to Mexico and would you do it again?" I haven't had any flack from the WLS community (just putting that out there cause I don't know what your situation is). The OKC groups are all about supporting the person and the process you choose, not getting up into your business, but because we love you we will tell you if we think you are screwing up.
