Hey can you see my pix and ticker now
I just tried one new food at a time. I cannot say enough, chew chew chew! I am 6 months out and I still have the occasional food make me sick. Just be careful with new things until you know it is okay for you. I know I was getting tired of the soft foods by six weeks, so I tried lots of new things. Sliced cheese and lean lunch meats were a staple and still are. I eat pasta every once in a while, but mostly meat and cheese and veggies. If you want more detail send me a personal message and I will elaborate. Dionne

Getting sick from a food is a matter of individual case. Not everyone has the same reaction to certain foods, so it would be hard to diagnose certain things until you actually cross that threshold and see for yourself. These girls and guys in this forum helped me get past my nausea and pushed me into finding new ideas that really worked for me.

BE SURE to take your vitamins that you were instructed to take. That's very IMPORTANT. Getting low on iron and B vitamins can cause major problems and some are irreversable and you cannot catch up. I know you're having trouble taking them but we do not absorb with the RNY. You just need to look at them as "I don't have a choice" and it will get easier as time goes on. Take care!!!
getting sick. I did try a small piece of grilled chicken breast. That did ok. I am still eating
mash potatoes and applesauce. That really works for me. I will begin my vitamins again
today. Do you take B12 injections or other ways??

Yeah! Looks good! I took it slow adding new food. Only add one thing at a a time. Take a couple of bites then wait 5 or 10 minutes to see how it sets on your new tummy. Do not let fear stop you, Dr. G told me my goal should be to eat normal food and not depend on shakes for my protein. If something doesn't agree with you now just wait a few weeks or a month and try again. Oh, and I only tried new stuff at home just in case...lol
