Yes, pic and ticker in place.  Congrats on your surgery.  Keep an ear out, I'm sure people that have used your doctor will start posting.  As far as my group, we start with soft protein, scrambled egg, tuna with mayo or canned chicken with mayo, fat free refried beans.  Good luck on your quest !

Happy to see your face and ticker!  Congratulations on your success!  I had the sleeve so I can't answer your question but much continued good luck!

I just tried one new food at a time.  I cannot say enough, chew chew chew!  I am 6 months out and I still have the occasional food make me sick.  Just be careful with new things until you know it is okay for you.   I know I was getting tired of the soft foods by six weeks, so I tried lots of new things.   Sliced cheese and lean lunch meats were a staple and still are.  I eat pasta every once in a while, but mostly meat and cheese and veggies.  If you want more detail send me a personal message and I will elaborate.  Dionne

I also had bypass.  I tried to eat per the nutritionist's rcommendations, however, everything I touched made me feel sick....so I found a long list of items that I could eat that made life really enjoyable that were still within the items that I could eat and that were healthier for me than just the normal foods, so I'm still eating the majority of those today.

Getting sick from a food is a matter of individual case.  Not everyone has the same reaction to certain foods, so it would be hard to diagnose certain things until you actually cross that threshold and see for yourself.  These girls and guys in this forum helped me get past my nausea and pushed me into finding new ideas that really worked for me.

It's great to finally see your face with your ticker!!  It also took me a while and like others just began slowly with adding back foods.  But, sometimes I didn't tolerate them well in the beginning and I can now.  I couldn't handle salad at all early on but I can now have a little with no problem.  I just prefer to fill up first on my protein foods and then add a little veggies and fruits.

BE SURE to take your vitamins that you were instructed to take.  That's very IMPORTANT.  Getting low on iron and B vitamins can cause major problems and some are irreversable and you cannot catch up.  I know you're having trouble taking them but we do not absorb with the RNY.  You just need to look at them as "I don't have a choice" and it will get easier as time goes on.  Take care!!!

Hey thks for the support.  I am so excited to  really  eat  food  now. But I am  also very scared of
getting sick.  I did try a small piece of  grilled chicken breast.  That did ok.  I am still eating
mash  potatoes  and   applesauce.  That really works for me. I will begin  my vitamins again
today.  Do you take  B12  injections  or   other ways??

I take sublingual B-12.  I do one per day and it's a tiny pill that dissolves under my tongue.  Some do the injections but I found this to be easier and cheaper for me.  I know some don't need that much B-12 but my doc prescribed this for me as a RNY patient.  You'll eventually start feeling really good and the vitamins etc will be a big part of that.  I would think without them we might be more apt to get sick especially with winter coming along!!!  Take care.

Yeah!  Looks good! I took it slow adding new food.  Only add one thing at a a time.  Take a couple of bites then wait 5 or 10 minutes to see how it sets on your new tummy.  Do not let fear stop you, Dr. G told me my goal should be to eat normal food and not depend on shakes for my protein.  If something doesn't agree with you now just wait a few weeks or a month and try again.  Oh, and I only tried new stuff at home just in case...lol
