as you all know i have been celebrating this week because i have lost 100lbs but when i tell people about this accomplishment and they ask me how much more i want to lose and i tell them that i have 95 more lbs to go before i reach my goal, they give me a look like "i can't believe you weighed that much and want to lose that much more" well i did weigh that much and i do want to lose that much more. what do i say to them? i'm not proud of how much i weighed but i am dang sure proud of how far i have come.

Cat I know exactly where you are coming from.  I have lost 115 and when I tell people I still want to lose about 80 more they just look at me funny.  These are people who KNEW me when I was 420 and miserable as sin.  I am now 305 and I have more energy now than I did when i was 18...okay maybe that is pushing it just a litte, lol.

I DO FEEL SO MUCH BETTER THESE DAYS AND CAN'T BELIEVE I COULD EVEN CARRY AN EXTRA 100LBS AROUND. MOSTLY PEOPLE ARE POSITVE BUT WHEN IT COMES TO NUMBERS THEY LOOK AT ME FUNNY.

You don't owe anybody any specific numbers.  Just tell them that you still need to lose a bit more and leave it at that.  Or, you could tell them you aren't sure how much more that you will know you are there when you like what you see in the mirror.  Just be vague.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I've had this same dilemma.  Don't give specifics if you aren't comfortable.  I've only told my VERY close friends.  If it makes you feel bad, just get a glance of yourself in the mirror while you rock that tiara and you'll feel all happy, proud and glittery again!

I STILL DON'T LIKE TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR TOO MUCH YET BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON I STILL SEE THE 326LB ME. AND THAT TIARA DID MAKE ME FEEL ALL GLITTERY!!

I agree with Happycat!  Leave numbers out of it.  You can tell your special people the numbers and everyone else gets..."I've lost some and I'm not done"!  Just remember you wear the tierra around here!  (Oh, by the way, we are your special people!) LOL!
Be Proud!  You have come a long way!  Don't let anyone take your joy Doggonnit!

I AM VERY PROUD OF HOW FAR I HAVE COME AND I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW IT BUT I DON'T LIKE THE LOOKS I GET WHEN I TELL HOW MUCH MORE I WANT TO LOSE. SO I GUESS I WILL TAKE THE ADVICE OFFERED HERE AND JUST SAY I HAVE A LONG WAYS TO GO OR THAT I'M JUST NOT DONE YET!
