Okay I'm Alive...One Month Out, New Avitar & feeling GREAT!!!
Hello Friends~~~ I'm sure you were about to give up on me. As the subject says I am 1 month out as of last Wednesday and 40 pounds down...YAY!! I really don't see a big difference, but all my co workers do. And my clothes are baggy so I know things are going in the right direction. I did take my picture just because my friend at work says the first year of changes is amazing and I should have the photo's to remember the journey. Otherwise, me and the camera do NOT get along...lol.
I wanted to share something with you about the HORRIBLE nausea that was ailing me for two weeks. I want to first say those two weeks were absolutely TERRIBLE!! But Dr. Kirk literally saved me....It actually started when "DebtFree" posted about how long everyone stayed on their prilosec, zantac or whatever you guys take after surgery. I though Hmmmmm I never went back on anything. So, I called Dr. K after another miserable weekend of being in bed and crying like a baby. He said first that this WAS NOT normal, then asked how much of my Prilosec I was taking. I said "None and haven't since sugery." I thought he was going to come through the phone...lol. He said "OMG you are suppose to be on the for 90 days post op, especially since you had two ulcers and a hernia repair." He also said that I was probably full of acid that was toxic and making me deathly ill. He said...Go right now and start taking your two a day like before, and within 48 hours the sickness should go away. The man is a GENIOUS I took it that day and by the next afternoon I felt like a million bucks and have felt great ever since. I can't wait to see him and give him the biggest hug of his life!! I am very mad though, I looked at my discharge paperwork and it WAS NOT on there. So basically, I suffered needlessly for two weeks. UGH!!
But I am back and still losing like a pound a day...Dr. K figures I will be down 100+ way before my 6 months. I want to thank you all for you thoughts and suggestions, I am now seeing how great life will be....and I am LOVIN' IT!!!!!
When I get my surgery, I'll probably become a thorn in Dr. Walton's side, because I'm such a weenie, I'll be calling him over every little thing. Y'all start praying for him, now.
Blessings,
Mary
