Donna, You are so kind!!
I rarely look in a mirror...maybe someday soon I will feel more comfortable with doing that.
Today someone is preening me though!!! A friend, whom I have not seen in a while, is taking me to lunch and she want's to get me a pedacure! I haven't had one in a couple years! A friend of ours died last week and we just found out. I emailed her to tell her....She wants to catch up on our lives so we are going to lunch and then sit and talk while we get our feet all pretty...I haven't seen her in 5 years!!! We just email off and on....this will be so nice! She is younger so more busy than my life....So I am getting preened!!
Kind words can melt away so much in our lives. Thanks Donna for the reminder.....
After reading this, I even let Greyce put her heavy paws up in my lap so she could kiss me! It made the both of us happy!
I am sure you know this, but there is a place where people can adopt wonderful types of birds. I found one in my yard last year after a storm and it was in bad shape. I called around and there were a few places that actually took them in and would nurse them to health then adopt them out...This bird died before we could get that far, but it was a great idea for people who would love to love a lost bird! You have to go to classes and stuff before they will qualify you, but it would be a great idea for anyone who wants to get one.

Who the heck is Donna? LOL.
I caught a great horned owl once and took it to the wildlife rehab folks. It was caught in a trap, and they were later able to catch the guy who was setting the traps......(seems I not only caught the bird, but the evidence).
The only mirror I own is in the bathroom on the medicine chest. I just realized that (and it was here when I bought the house). Well, the bird has a mirror too and I supposed technically that's mine.

Oliver has a bit of a speech impediment. I misunderstood him when I first got him, I thought he was calling himself a farty, farty bird.......and I may have said that a few times too because I thought it was funny. Then I realized whoever taught him pretty probably had an accent and said something like purdy bird......so for now, we are avoided the F word and the P word until he forgets them both. But you are right, I could teach him to say HOT!!!!!!!!or maybe pretty in another language. Bella means pretty doesn't it?
My neighbor kids are bilingual and Jessica sometimes calls Moonie Luna (any guesses on what my next dog is going to be called?)
To bad only Greyce gets to look at them...I should do her nails!!
