OMG! My EWL!!!

Sweet Nancy Gene told me how to calculate the percentage of my extra weight lost (EWL) and I'm at 57%!  I'm so happy!  I feel really good about myself right now.  I'm rocking the banana!  Ok, back to the real world - I have 43% to go!  Gotta keep chuggin'!

Oh and by the way, I'll still be labeled "overweight" when I'm at my "goal weight"!  But its the goal that Jessica and I picked pre-op and I'm sticking with it.  I will be very happy to be an overweight size 10!

Wowzer-73 percent for me, including a panic moment when I realized all my weigh ins were on my dead computer....alll that data....GONE.  For a scale junky, that is an awful thing.  But I survived (and I will take the hard drive in and have the data sucked out.

I read something earlier that said that the BMI charts are never going to be quite right for people who have been MO-due to skin, thicker bones, etc.

I will hit my target pants size (12) before I hit my target weight-150.  I set those because they were both maintainable without obsessing.  Now I have to to figure out whether to go with the pants size or go with the weight.   That's the tricky part for me-knowing when to stop and just be happy.

YEAH!!! great job Glitter....I haven't figured out my percentage yet, but I also will be overweight by the time I get to goal! Don't really care eaither. I picked that goal (150) because it seemed realistic..I have been there before and I liked the way I looked at 150!

Great work, Kimmy!

I just figured mine and I am down 59% of excess weight! I am using a weight for goal that puts me as normal BMI at 24.7.  I have no idea if that is realistic or not.  No one at Weight Wise has ever talked goal weight with me.

We are rocking these banana tummies!
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Denise, I stopped by and saw Rita last Thursday after my 6 month check up with Dr. W.  She looks AWESOME and is a "tiny woman" now.  She still has that huge smile though and looks amazing!  You go Rita.  You have been such an inspiration to us all and especially to me!  Thank you for that and your willingness to share and urge us all on our wonderful journeys.  Hope to see you tonight.
