I think I might have a stricture.... I have no idea what this is, but something has to be wrong. HERE GOES!! I have no desire to eat.. I can eat 2 bites of something(tiny bites) and I get a freaking shooting pain in my my back right side. I also feel like I have a lump in my throat all the time, like there is a pill stuck in my lower throat. When I do put something in my moth.... it hits my stomach and....forget it!! I have not thrown up, but my food intake has slowly decreased over the last 2 weeks. Today I have eaten 2 bites of cottage cheese, and about 4 peanuts. Also I have a UTI for the 1st time in my life. I am taking a scrip. HELPPPPPPPPP!!!! Someone tell me what to do.

I am 8 weeks out and have lost 54 pounds.

Hi, Morgan.
I'm pre-op, but it does seem like you should at least make a phone call to your surgeon. That's why he's paid the big bucks. Right? The pain could be from your UTI, but let's let the doctor make that decision. My vote is to call.

Sounds to me like you need to at least call the surgeon as well. I've dealt with strictures before and they are no fun. It might not be one, but better safe than sorry. You are doing great on the weight loss, by the way!

Your problem sounds familiar to one of the other girls....she did have a stricture. Don't waste another minute and make your call to Dr. B's office. Let him give you instructions. If his office isn't open then call the nurses desk and they will get in touch with him. The docs WANT to hear from us when we have problems. They WANT us to feel good and this to be successful. Let us know how you're doing!!!
