I got the call from surg assoc to set up my appt. for the consult. If I used Dr Cole or Katsis I would not be able to get into see them untill Dec. (due to the dieticin and the Dr are really full). I guess Dr Fisher is no longer with the group because when I asked if I could see him the lady said they had a new Dr to the group and he is from K.C. MO and his name is Dr varnell. I get to see him on Nov 21st and the dieticin a hour before I see Dr Varnell. I have my psych eval on the 20th of Nov with Dr Collions in Joplin Mo (hes the on who told me I had bi-polar. I do have a question does my psych dr need to give me the MMPI test or what does he need to do. (crystal didn't really answer me when I asked.)

As for the MMPI, it is not required for the surgery, just some dr's give it and some don't. The one I am going to does.

Dr Varnell came from kc MO I am not sure how many surgeries hes done. I guess everyone who uses the surg assoc group has to see the dietician prior to the consualt with your surgeon and one more time prior to surgery. I hope you get the call. I have a friensd who called to make sure they got all her info and she talked to scedualing at surg assoc and they said well we have you approved to get a appt and they let her go ahead and set it up. She didn't have to wait on them to call her.

I was planning on calling them after I see the psych doc. I guess I don't have to wait to do that though since you got in and haven't had yours yet. I will give them a call next week or the next. Next week is really busy for me. My mom has a post op appointment. I have a dr's appt with my pcp, my daughter has an appointment. I have a parent teacher conference and both my kids have to see the dentist. so i will be doing a lot of running next week and do see time to get the call in to them. I am so glad things are moving along for you. Is the dietician in with the surg assoc or is it somewhere else. I was told they have a dietician on staff but didn't know if that was true or not. Guess I will find out soon enough.

man you sound like you are a busy mom. I thought I was busy. I work 5 12hr shifts a week and have football/cheerleading games on sat. How is your mom and husband doing. I hope they are doing good, The dietitian is at the hospital where we will have surgery. (St Frances) I am the kind of person that when I want something I want it done asap and don't want to have to wait to get it done. I am very impatient. Once I see the surgeon in Nov i have to wait on a insurance approval and that could take up to 60 days. Crystal said that I would have to see the dietitian and follow her diet for 4 weeks than see her again. plus I have to drive all the way from mo to Tulsa to one support meeting. I can't get any of my Dr appointments to be on the same day so I won't have to make as many trips to Tulsa ( i live 2 1/2 hours away) I hope you get a consult date soon.
