What a week!!!! I am so sorry I was not able to attend the dinner Friday night.. I am so bummbed.  I just logged on so I will get to read about how much fun I missed out on..

But, I was needed somewhere else.  What a whirl wind week this has been.  I am happy to have my family back hom sleeping in their own beds.  I took DH back to the hospital Thursday morning and he was admitted.  But of course, I had to fight for that.  If you remember he went to the ER on Tuesday and we spent 6.5 hours there and they sent us home with Gastritis (sp?) Went back to the ER on Thursday morning, to be told to leave again.  Well, mommy bear came out and I refused to leave.  I said "NO" this is not normal and you get someone in here that can help him..  So the Lord blessed us with DR. Michael Mann.  He is such a blessing in our life and we are so grateful for him.  At first we didn't know if it was a hernia and gall bladder or both.  He did have a very sick gall bladder that was badly damaged and he removed it.  He does have a hernia but my husband's body was in so much distress that they only removed the gall bladder and not the hernia.  His kidney's have been damaged along the way, inzyme numbers are up, and billy numbers are up, white blood cell count is back to normal.  He has been taken off of work for a few weeks.

It has been a crazy week but after the ER doctors, the nurses and techs on the 2nd floor at Bailey's are outstanding.. Wonderful caring nurses with great bedside manners.  I ended up staying all 4 days with hubby without leaving his bedside.  I can't ask nurses to take care of personal needs, that's what a wife is for.

We canceled our twins birthday party and will reschedule in the next upcoming weeks.  Our twins stayed with their grandparents, and they visited each day for a hour or two.  God Bless Grandparents too.   I am happy to have my family back home together.

Thank you for all your prayers.  I wondered many times if any of my OH friends were at Bailey's.  We did have some surgery's on our floor.  Oh and I saw many new born baby boys too, that was a Big Treat..

Hope everyone had fun at the dinner and so sorry I mised you all. Hope we have one again so I can join.

Thanks,
Sheila

Sheila I am glad your husband is home and okay now.  The nurses at Bailey are indeed unique and care so much.  It's great to go in there to check up on people having surgery and to actually have the nurses remember me and stop to say hi to me.  It makes things so much more personal.

Hi, Sheila.
I'm so glad that your husband is improving. It sounds like he has turned a corner, and that's a good thing. I'll continue to pray. You get some rest now, if you can.
Blessings,
Mary

I know you are so glad to have this behind you and your husband on the mend.  That is our job as wife and mothers....to fight for them and take care of them with it's necessary.  We are, after all, the mother "hens"....  You also take care of yourself in the process and we'll be thinking of you and pray for your DH speedy recovery!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Hey Sheila,  Glad your DH is home and better!!!!  Good for you for hanging in there and demanding something be done. Its to bad that so many times we even have to do that!

I had deleted your email with your phone number in it so I couldnt call, I have it now though Kim sent it to me!

Glad you are home, get some rest and keep us in the know on how he is feeling.

Thanks everyone... It's been a long first day for hubby..  I had many errands to be ran and he thought he would come along for the ride.  Now I am thinking he shouldn't have.. he he he..  He just laid down for a nap and took some pain meds.  I am currently on the phone with employer and Hartford trying to get short term disability set up.  We are actually surprised by the short term info, because we were thinking he didn't have anything.   He either drives the miles or don't get paid.. But short term is a huge blessing.. We thought we were just going to use my surgery money to survive, but looks now, we wont dip into by much.. That is a huge blessing.

Cindy, glad Kim was able to help you out.. No problem.. Glad I was able to call Kim and let her know what was going on.. Baileys has free internet access but my laptop had to go back because they didn't fix it the first time..

Thank you all for the much needed prayers, they are greatly appreciated..
