Sorry about the misleading info - walk from obesity

I'm so sorry I told all you that the walk was 1.5 miles!  I thought I read that on their website and I'll be going back to read it again.  Doesn't matter now since we already did the 5K!  Yay to all of us that went and with did the whole or part of the walk.  It was a beautiful site for the walk.  Too bad it was so stinkin' hot!  (or maybe that was me stinkin'!)  Wish there had been a breeze!

I'm already looking forward to next year.  We hear it will likely be somewhere in Norman.

I enjoyed the fact that I could do a 5K with no problems.  The last time I tried a 5K I was miserable, in pain, and ended up with blisters.  What a difference weight loss makes!

I hope there is somewhere in Norman that is as beautiful to walk.  I wonder if they would schedule it a bit later in the fall so maybe it wouldn't be so stinking hot?  Who would we ask?
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

It went by so fast as we heckled each other the whole way.  Now that's the way to exercise!

I thought the same thing-it wasn't clear from what I read that the course was an out and back-a lot of walks are done on a circular route.  I'm sure a lot of people were surprised.

I was thrilled-I thought the course was lovely (kind of hilly) but it's easier for me to keep from cramping up with elevation changes, and I loved being along the water.

If it is in Norman, I think we should still get rooms and do the slumber party thing-that was fun.  I'm one of those sick puppies that just loves hotels....

I agree that staying together in the hotel made it fun!  I love me a "hen party"!  I think we should get a room next year too!

I don't care how far it was, it was fun !!!   I heard them say Norman, too.  The only problem is, I don't know anywhere here that's pretty like that !!  I think up by the Oklahoma River would be fantastic !!  I wonder if there is anyone lurking that could put that out as a possibility !!

I had a great time!!!  Not a problem with the mis-information at all.  That stuff just happens.  I enjoyed the time with you ladies from our OKC area and it was also fun getting to meet up with the Tulsa peeps to actually put people with faces!!!  I agree with Deb...another hotel room and possibly the ball next year!!!  At last the hen party was a lot of fun!!!  Thanks to those who drove their vehicles and booked the rooms for us!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!
