when did you stop your acid reducer?
Morning y'all! When did you stop your protonix (or whatever you took)? Dr. B. only gave me 2 refills so I figure he thinks we only need it for a bit. It seems like I remember Glittergal stopping at a couple of months out. I am three months in a few days.
Do you just stop it cold turkey or do you take it every other day or something? I didn't take it this morning and figured I would see what happened but wondered how you guys handled it. -Amy

Amy, were you at Weight Wise on Friday? I was there for the post-op nutrition class, and saw someone that looked like you, but I didn't want to ask because if it wasn't you, she would think I was some weird-o. Michael

I asked the gastero guy when I went in to schedule the old fart colonoscopy and he said the least medicine for the shortest period of time is best.
I am finally off the 2nd Protonix each day and doing well. I hope to be off the last dose each day at the beginning of the year. But, I have been a BIG acid producer for years so it may not happen.

I have maintained for one year at this point. I am steady at -120 pounds. =)
