Sure does.  It really always did for me anyway.  I really never was about volumn but the wrong choices.  I actually hated the thought of going through a trough and filling up a plate where people have messed with and in the food, sneezed around it, and who knows what might have been on their hands....NASTY, huh???

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Even before surgery I thought buffets were a waste of money the food is never that fresh and the idea of someone that had just finished using the potty without washing their hands plays on my mind..or to see someone picking their nose while getting their food......not to mention the greasyheaded ole fart that wipes snot on the back of his hand while getting his food.

Never been a fan of the buffets.  Now, it seems even less appealing.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I still go to the chinese buffets that have Mongolian grill.  That way I can get some chicken or beef, with broccoli, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers.  I have to watch myself with the sauces though.  But yeah not being able to eat 5-6 plates full like we used to makes them not very cost efficient anymore hehehe.

Well you all made me never want a buffet again!  Gross!  But there are some places where you can present your gastric bypass card and get a discount.  Like a child rate.  But now that you all said all that about old farts and snotty hands, I'm not gonna need a discount!  EWWW!

BIG OL' WASTE OF MONEY! I WENT TO CHINESE BUFFET SEVERAL WEEKS AGO WITH MY PARENTS AND IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME TO EVEN GO UP TO THE BUFFET BECAUSE I COULD BARELY EAT ANYTHING. I WON'T BE DOING THAT AGAIN.I DON'T THINK I WILL BE GOING TO ANY MORE BUFFETS AGAIN. I MADE THAT DECISION BEFORE YA STARTED GROSSING EVERYONE OUT WITH THE BOOGER STORIES! HAHAHA!! PEOPLE ARE SO GROSS AND THEY THINK NOTHING ABOUT IT.

My parents love the chinese buffet-so I go, rip the guts off an egg roll, the breading off chicken, and STILL take less food than anyone else there.

My take on eating out in general is it's no longer cost effective-so when I do it I go for the variety.  When cooking at home, it's not really worthwhile for me to open two cans of different things, so I tend to eat one di****ems.  At Mimi's I was able to sample salad, quiche guts and the crust of a muffin.  Eating out has become about the social for me-and I enjoy that part still.

When I'm alone, I tend to revert back to one item orders....but pioneer pies has this awesome lunch special-I can eat the meat off half a sanwich, a few bites of salad or the veggies out of soup and the top of a sugar free pie....for like 6 bucks....and they are used to me now.  It would be funny to go in with a group of us and blow their minds.
