After reading your post, I had to chime in. I am so sorry that you having such a tough time, with your own issues and adding to that with your mom. I have no advice on how to get your fluids in(except you MUST find a way)....what I can say is listen to the great advice of those who know...like Rita. You must be your own advocate. Call your Dr and bug the c**p out of them. Your health is the most fundamental part of having a decent, happy life. I wish you the best and I am praying for you.

So surgery sister...I am feeling the pain right along with you.  However, you and I are experiencing two totally different things.

First, I have not problems with liquids, except for protein shakes that the minute they hit my throat I want to puke.  But I got in about 60oz yesterday of water...  My problem is nauseousness.  I went till 2pm yesterday feeling really good because I had not eaten ANYTHING just drank water.  The minute I ate I got nauseous and had to lie down.  Almost like dumping, but it literally happens with EVERYTHING I try to eat...so what the heck.  I told a friend last night as long as I don't eat I'm great...granted I'm exhausted by 3pm but not sick.

I wouldn't mess with the steroids...that is speaking for myself.  I would just get in to your DR so they can take care of whatever it is once and for all, so you can start feeling like a human being again.  I am giving it a little while longer, Dr. G says by 6 weeks all the symptoms I am feeling should lessen drastically.  I hope you feel better soon, but it might mean a trip to the hospital to do it, but at this rate which is worse?
