I am excited

Your appointment is coming up soon. I haven't even seen Dr Katsis yet.  His office doesn't schedule appointments until you have gotten all your pre-ops completed.  They give you a check list at the seminar and once it is completed they will schedule your consult with him. So, I won't even see him until the end of December because they are so backed up. He has 20 patients in line in front of me.  Sorry that your insurance won't cover it...that is stinky.  I am on Medicare and they do cover it at 80% if you have at least 2 co-morbidities and a BMI over 40. So, I defintely qualify. I don't have to have pre-approval with Medicare. I did have to sign a waiver though that said if for some reason Medicare decides not to pay that I will pay for it. 
For the OH meetings, do they announce it when and where they are meeting? I would love to go and meet some people. It sounds like a lot of fun.  I need all the support I can get. It is nice meeting people wo actually understand.

Yes, they will announce on the message board.. Just like we are discussing dinner this Friday night at MiMi's on 71st at 6:30 PM.  anyone and everyone is invited this Friday night, so you should come..  OKC members are coming down for a walk for obesity Satuday.. But they are coming Friday night to stay in a hotel and we are having dinner.. You should really come and have fun.. I will be going so if you need a ride let me know..
