I have lost 2 elephant penis's  and 1 average human brain. Or I have lost a 2 month old horse and the amount of pizza an average american eats in 1 year. Or, 4 average 2 year olds, 4 chichahua's, and 2 dozen krispy cream glazed donuts. Or, 2 small bales of hay and 23 guinea pigs. Or, an average 5' 11" fashion model and a human skin. Or, 61.5 racks of baby back ribs. Or, 15 human heads and an average human brain. Or, 80 dozen large eggs, 1 rack baby back ribs, and 1 guinea pig. Or, a 15 gallon tub of super premium ice cream and an average human brain. Or, the worlds largest ball of tape and 1 elephant's heart.

For all you pre-ops are you starting to smell what I'm steppin' in?

It is amazing what WLS can do for you. Best of luck. Rita

Okay...before surgery I weighed in at a whopping 272#....yikes.  The day of surgery I weighed 252# (loss of 20#).  I'm almost 6 months out and have lost 67 pounds in that time frame for a total of 87#.  I went from a size 24 to 26 up top and size 20 on the bottom to a L or XL up top and a 12 or 14 on the bottom.....CRAZY isn't it?!!!, but oh so worth it!

Well, I started out this journey at 408 at my first consult.  I lost 32 pounds prior to surgery and weighed 376 on surgery date.  I now am at 269....(6 months) woohooohoooo.  I crossed a new digit this morning!  I have gone from a tight size 34 to a size 20 pants and 1 or 2 x tops depending on what type and brand.  I did buy two new tops in Tulsa Saturday and they didn't have the sweater top I liked in the "large" women's sizes so I went back to the misses sizes and thought "I just might be able to wear that Misses XL and wallah....I can!!!  I was so pumped.  This tool of ours is soooo amazing.  Life is good and I feel better than I have in YEARS!!!  I guess I've losed a small woman!!!  She is lost forever....don't miss her one bit either  (I still see her in the mirror though).

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Started at 364, weighed 352 at first appointment after consult.   Weighed 317 day of surgery.  Weigh 231 now.  That makes a grand total of 133 pounds.  Can't tell you what that equals other than happiness !!!

On July 18, 2007 I weighed 478 pounds. I had to lose 40 pounds in order to get a surgery date since dr Keith said I was hard headed. . In ten months I have lost 170 pounds as a post op. Which makes the  grand total of 230 plus pounds gone . My clothing size has went from tops being a 6x to a 1x pants 32/34 to 20/22 and thats cause of the hanging apron and my abdominal bulge.
I never knew how much I would learn about me from losing weight...Pre ops just be know that life that you have known will change....
For me the person I was involved with before surgery is now just a friend.....I realize while being in the hospital after surgery I did not have to settle for less then the best....

being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it
