I adore my 6 foot tall stockade fence!  My only regret is that it is not 8 feet tall!!  You go girl!!!!  I live in an area with some rental property.  I never know what kind of trash is going to move in.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I iive in my old neighborhood-my parents refuse to leave.  It's gone up/down over the years and is maybe on the way back up as more families are buying.....but some of the old farts have been around since I was a kid.  I am pretty sure these people are renters since they never attach anything to the house or plant anything other than vegetables.  Be that as it may, I was a renter for years and years and tried not to make a nuisance of myself.

I'm kind of a "bloom where you are planted person"...I try to get along with everyone, and if I can't get along, then I put up a fence and don't worry about it.

We had a neighbor like that, only worse.  A chain link fence separated our yards and our dogs would bark at him.  He would stand there and I think provoke them.  Even caught him spraying water at them from his hose.  Of course, my dogs didn't like the ass-butt.  He even would go in and call the police once he got them barking.  I asked the police what the heck was I suppose to do, cut out their vocal cords?  He did this several times, and even call them one time to say they had no water and no food.  We took the policeman to the chain link fence and showed him the huge bowl of water they had, and even the kiddy swimming pool because our boston terrier at the time loved to walk through it or just get in and lay in it.  Also we have this weiner dog mix we describe as a potato on toothpicks.  There was no way that that dog could be even close to be hungry much less starving.  We finally put up a stockaid fence on our side of the chain link, and let him see the back side of our fence and deal with the grass growing up between the two.  Was so glad when we moved away from that sob.  He thought he owned the neighborhood.  Sitck to your guns.  Michael.

Now that it's a *****illy out the homeless guy gets up pretty early and builds a fire.  Then the two fellow sit and talk till I get up and bring the dogs out-and they break camp.  I feel bad for the guy-but the people on the side of them haven't let their kids play in the backyard since he moved in.

I've had to confront my own feelings on this-it's downright embarrassing to have a guy camping right off my backyard-as well as annoying.  The weather is nice, and I like to sleep with my windows open, and waking up to two old farts farting and belching isn't what I signed on for.

The concrete is drying on the poles, so it will be a few days and then.......privacy.  And I'm not without pity-I realize to come to live in a tent in someone's back yard is a sad state of affairs, and I am trying not to be judgmental beyond deciding what is safe, acceptable and tolerable to me.

On a bright note, the parrot really enjoys watching them and he loves to fart and belch-so my household is just awash with body sounds right now.  He should be a big hit with the grandkids at Thanskgiving.
