anyone heard of this?

My friend had the VSG late May or early June. She has done quite well, but tonight she called, and, for about a week now, every time she drinks something (room temp., hot, cold), she feels there's something stuck in the back of her throat. She doesn't feel it at any other time.
I've encouraged her to call Dr. Walton, as she's flying out of state tomorrow afternoon and won't return until Wed. night.
Just thought I'd ask if anyone has heard of this and, if so, is there anything she can do to help herself? Thanks, for any advice or information.
Blessings,
Mary

I haven't heard of this.  Maybe she should call the nurse's station?  They are there 24 hours a day!

Thanks, Kim.
My friend finally called Dr. Walton, and in looking back over the week, she realized she'd eaten a salad too fast, so Dr. Walton feels there is a piece of iceberg lettuce stuck in her throat. She's drinking hot things, to try to dislodge it. It's not uncomfortable, except when she drinks, so it must be a rather small piece of lettuce. Wierd, though, and I'm glad it's not me, as things like that make me feel very panicky.
Thanks for replying.
Blessings,
Mary
