Got home Thursday evening after spending an extra day in OKC with family.  Today is the first day I have really felt like sitting down at the computer and get caught up.  I am having a hard time getting used to this thing, and trouble getting all the liquids in they told me to get in.  I am sipping all day.  I have gotten sick several times by not thinking and drinking something too fast.  The worst was the first night and had a SF popsicle and ate it like I normally would.  I got OMG full and my wife said I turned white as a sheet.  I am having trouble determining how I am feeling -- full, bloated, pain?  This unknown feeling goes across my whole abdomin, from side to the other side.    Today is somewhat better.  The hospital staff was the best.  Rita, I asked about you.  Thanks also to all that made my wife feel so welcome.  She had the best time, and talks alot about all the fun she had.  Also, thanks Kim for coming to see me.  That was special.   Michael (muffin)

I am glad you are safely home and doing well.  You and your body are going to have to get reacquainted.  I felt like a needed an owner's manual for my body after surgery.  You have a lot of swelling right now from the surgery.  It will take a while for things to level out.  Keep sipping and walking!

We thoroughly enjoyed Dessie at our dinner!   She is delightful!
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Michael Muffin!  So happy to see you up and posting!  I'm glad you are home and recovering.  It is all a brand new ball game with the tiny tummy!  I know it feels very alien right now.  It was the same with my sleeve.  But it will get better and you will feel normal again.  It just takes some time and patience.  I don't think any one gets all the liquids in at the very beginning.  You are very swollen right now and it feels funky.

Just hang in there, listen to your body and take it easy.  Every day get a little better.

Thanks for sharing your wife.  We enjoyed her company and I do hope she had a good time!

Keep us posted on your progress!

Kim

I'm so happy that you've joined us on the loser's bench!

I also felt like I needed an owner's manual. I had a hard time getting liquids in too, and Dr. Walton said to shoot for 45 if I couldn't do 64. You'll get the hang of it soon.

Welcome to the losers bench Michael! I am 2 1/2 months out and I still struggle sometimes with getting all the liquids in, but it gets easier and I am definitely doing better than I did the first few weeks after surgery. I was at the other end of the table and did not get to talk directly to Dessie. I am glad she had a good time.
