Help.... I need clothes!!!
Hey all, good news is I have nothing to wear that won't fall off unless pinned up! Bad news is I have nothing to wear!!! I went shopping at the local thrift stores in Enid and found zippo ( DH thinks I'm being a princess). I refuse to pay even $3.98 for a pair of pants with crotch stains in them ( sorry tmi, I know). I'm making a trip to the city to go bargain shopping but I don't know where to start. Could you give me suggestions on decent thrift stores to find gently used size 22 clothes minus the stains? Any and all suggestions appreciated, contrary to DH's opinion I don't want to spend a fortune on clothes I will only wear for a short period of time.
Thanks,
Traci

Traci I wish I was already out of my 22s or I would give you a ton of beautiful clothes that have been given to me. Before I got the freebies I found a excellent thrift store on the south side...sw 59th I believe between penn and western. Not a good area of town but a very nice PLUS size women's thrift store! I never knew we had one. It is called Big City Woman. (hate the name, they just had to put the B-I-G in there!). I got a nice pair of pants for $11 that are a Dillards brand that sells for over $100. I also got a coldwater creek jacket for $12.

Traci, are you talking about Hope Outreach in Enid? The only reason I ask is because I was thinking about going there tomorrow. Right now I am prob. needing a size 18 or XL. I have got alot of size 22-24, that I can't wear anymore. I haven't went thru them, what size jeans do you need I have alot of them. And I guess you live in the enid area?
I live in Cleo Springs but teach in Waukomis so I am through Enid every day. Yes, I went to Hope Outreach last Saturday and also the one off Grand a couple of blocks south of David Allen Ballpark. I think it is called Park Avenue Thrift store. They both are very cheap$3-$4 each, just not much choice in quality. Maybe in your size you will have better luck. I am in a 22 jean.

We discussed having a clothing exchange for the monthly support group next month. We talked about everyone bringing whatever they have to exchange and going for it. You might check with Dr. Keller?, the one who is in charge of the support groups and see if it's going for sure. I have a bunch of sweaters I need to pass on. If anyone has any xls I could use them. I'm freezing !!
