I was blessed to see Dot and Rita at Weight Wise, today. Dot looked tired, but seemed much better. Rita is adorable. Both ladies are so sweet, and I've decided that the Oklahoma forum has the cutest people (which is why my profile has no picture)! ;)
Blessings,
Mary

P.S. I have 9 lbs. to lose, so I return in one month. I pray I can release those lbs. in the next 4 weeks.

Thanks, Sherry. No, no date yet, and I pouted, which usually works. Oh, well. Maybe it's better this way. I tend to be too impatient. Wouldn't it be great, if the 9 lbs. fell off!
Blessings,
Mary

Do you know if Dot had a stricture?  I am glad she is doing better.

You can get those 9 pounds off in 4 weeks- no problem. Follow the nutritionist's instructions exactly and the pounds will come off!
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Yes, Dot had a stricture the size of a pin hole. Yikes. It sounds like a nasty thing to go through and very dangerous. I wonder if it's just something RNYers go through, or is it something a VSGer can have?
I hope you're right, that these last 9 lbs. will come off, no problem. It makes me nervous. The diet I was given last time didn't work out too well for me. I followed it for 2 weeks and gained 2 lbs.! So, I've gone back to what has worked for me, in the recent past. My body's just wierd.
Thanks for your encouragement. I may need more of it.
Blessings,
Mary

Got a message from Dot not to long ago.  Yes, she had a stricture.  Her stoma was the size of a PINHOLE!!!!  No wonder she has been so sick and miserable.  She said the dilitation went well and she feels like a NEW woman.  She also told me that she has drank more in the past few hours that she has all week.  I'm glad I was able to give good news!

Wow!  Dot must be one tough lady to have handled a stricture like that for very long!  I am so happy she is better.

Yes, strictures are more likely in RNYers than VSGers.  VSGers can get one but it is pretty rare since they don't reroute any of our parts.

I'm glad to hear that it's unlikely. I'm hoping and praying for as few complications as possible.
Thanks for the info.

You can do it!  Remember with God's help there is nothing impossible.  You are a strong lady and you will do what it takes to have this surgery.  We have faith in you!
