Kim, I didn't have C-sections but I did have an abdominal hysterectomy.  The pain from my VSG was nothing compared to my hysterectomy.  I know RNY is a bit more painful but I still think it will be less painful.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Thanks!  I've heard from a couple of other people that it wasn't as painful as a c-section.  That makes me feel better.
Have fun if you are off to the meet-n-greet tonight!

Were your c-sections horizontal bikini line incisions?  If so, I see no reason why you would have to be cut open.

If they were vertical, maybe so depending on scar tissue.

I had a bikini line c-section, a bikini line hysterectomy, scarring from endometriosis (my uterus and tubes were basically GLUED to my bladder, intestines, and abdominal wall with scar tissue) and I STILL had my RNY lap.

So, I wouldn't worry...  AND, my c-section and hysterectomy were FAR worse than my RNY.  RNY was a Cake Walk compared!

Hi Dot, I'm glad you're back!  I hope you are feeling better!
Thanks for the info!  I have had 3 c-sections.  2 were verticle cuts and the last was bikini cut.  So I have a T in my stomach.  I should have talked with Dr. Gorospe about it when I had the consult.
I'm finding out that my 6 months visits may not count because he noted that I was going for Blood Pressure rather than Weight loss.  He noted that because that way the insurance would pay for me to go PLUS my blood pressure wasn't being controlled with meds.  I HAD to see him.  But I have seen him 9 times this year, counting the dr visit today because I was sick makes it 10x's this year.  Plus I have seen a nutritionist.
ALWAYS SOMETHING!!!!
Anyway, thanks again!  Feel better!
Kim
