Gastric Bypass after c-section???

I have had 3 c-sections.  Is my gastric bypass going to have to be done open?  I read that if you have had c-sections that it is open???  I don't want to have open.  I hope I read wrong.

I was flustered over insurance issues the day I met with Dr. G so I didn't get to ask him.

One of my close friends in Kansas, had a C-section in 2004 and had a open Gastric Bypass in 2006.. I don't know if that was the reason why or not.. I know when I met with Dr B, he said it's all done laproscopic.. But you bring up a good question..

I have had Gallbladder, Hys, Bladder tie up...there is nothing left in there but my stomach I think. I never heard anyone say anything about that. The doctor looked at my chart and said it was do able.....I guess more will chime in soon....

I have company in from Houston so I won't be going tonight but I will try to go next time.  Have fun tonight!

I had 2 c-sections prior to my gastric bypass. I had it lap with no problems. I think it is dependent upon how much scar tissue you have. I also had my gall bladder removed lap 4 mos after my bypass.

I had 3 c-sections and my gastric was not open. 

Dr. Gorospe was my doctor and I have had 2 c-sections and an open gallbladder and my RNY was still laporascopic.  I wouldn't worry about your c-sections causing yours to be open.

Well as Usual you all made me feel better!  Thanks so much for your input!  Hopefully mine will be lap too!  I didn't have any problems after my c-sections.  I was up and going to garage sales 3 days after I had my second one!  My 3rd was harder because I was pretty sick when he was born!  Is the pain of a c-section about the same as lap bypass? 

I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH MY GASTRIC SLEEVE WHICH WAS LAP AND I HAVE ONLY HAD 1 C-SECTION. NO WAY WAS IT HARDER THAN A C-SECTION!! GOOD LUCK AND DON'T WORRY YOU WILL BE FINE!!
