Ok my mom just called me to let me know that she was really out of surgery and doing ok in a matter of speaking.  She told me that they found an absess and under the absess was a leak.  They told her that the problem would fix itself in time. But they told her that she will not be allowed to drink anything for the next five days and she will not be able to eat anything for 30 days.  So far they are going to keep her until friday so that they can give her IV liquid so she doesnt dehydrate and once friday rolls around they will go from there.  She says it feels like her left rib is broken, im sure its from all the stuff she has been threw.  The only thing she can do to wet her mouth is to put a wet wash cloth in it, of course you can imagine that sucks.  Once again I will update you all when we see how she is healing tomorrow.  Thank you again for all of your prayers and support, if anything it has been really good for me.

Glad to hear that your mom was feeling well enough to call you.  I hope that this is the last of her problems and things get to smooth sailing for her, she sure has been through the wringer!

When my husband was in the hospital from his surgery a few weeks ago they suspected a small leak that repaired itself and were watching to be sure there was no absess.  They told us if there was there would be a drain.  Some leaks/absess do actually repair themselves over time but a drain is needed. Sounds weird I know but a totally different surgeon told us the same thing.  I bet this time next week she will be feeling like a new woman at least that is what I am praying for.

Oh my, with all the problems she has had with dehydration I will continue to pray for her over the next 30 days! Hopefully it will be easier for her now that the problem has been identified. This surely has to be the final problem for her. Wishing her my best!

I'm glad your mom is doing better.  At least they know whats wrong now and she can get on the road to recovery.  Her recovery doesn't sound fun at all!  But it'll be behind her soon and she'll be home with her family!
Keep posting so we know how she's doing!
Now you can breath!  LOL!
Happy Wednesday all!

I can't even imagine how  horrible this has all been for your mom.  Here's hoping all the bad stuff is behind her now and she's on the road to recovery!
