Jen's surgery and other rantings
Jennifer had her surgery yesterday morning. I was there until middle of the afternoon and she was in some pain, and was having a hard time waking up. She was having horrible gas pains in her chest, but we got her up and walked her up and down the hallway and she felt better. By the time I got home and called back, she was up and walking all over the place.
I saw Kathy, Jessica, and Somer yesterday. I was up 2 lbs. which kind of suprised me, but I'd been away from home for two days before and I know my eating was not in line with what I had been doing at home. I started the aggressive high protein diet this morning, and looks like I'm in line for December! This was my fourth visit, so hopefully the insurance will get a move on as soon as I get my November appt. out of the way. :) I'm shooting for Dec. 22. It will be my 41st birthday, what a better birthday gift to give myself!
Hugs,
Marsha

Way to go Marsha. I'm glad to hear Jennifer's surgery went well and she's on the looser's bench. You know 2 lbs could even be the difference in needing to go to the bathroom and not!!! That's just 2 boxes of 8 sticks of butter.... You can do it...you just stay focused for the December 22nd day. I think that will be an awesome birthday gift to yourself...the gift of a new you, better health and way more energy than you can imagine right now. It's also going to be an AWESOME Christmas Gift.....Thanks for sharing. That aggressive high protein diet will work. I did it to loose those last 14 pounds. They do know what they are doing.
You're almost there to have your WLS~ Can't wait to see you on the loser's bench too! Glad that Jen's surgery did go well after she got up and walking. I hope you get the Dec 22nd date. *fingers crossed*

I just talked to my sister and Jen is going to stay another night at the hospital. Dr. W. was going to let her come home, but since we live so far, he decided it would be best for her to stay one more night. Good decision I think! They were going to stay in the hotel anyway, since it's so far and they'd already reserved it for tonight anyway. I think my sister just feels better knowing she's staying.
