Continued Vomiting

Sorry for the terrible subject line...

I had a Gastric Sleeve surgery right at 6 months ago.  I was nearly 330 before I decided to have surgery, lost to 294 the day of surgery, and I am now 193!!!!!

I have been extremely exited with the weight loss results...

BUT..

I still today experience unexplained vomiting when eating.  To give an example, yesterday at lunch I had a grilled chicken breast, i ate about 1/2 over a 25 min period.  Today, we went back to the same restaurant, I ordered the same thing... and ate about 4 bites.. and then had to rush to the restroom to throw up.

This happens to me too often and its frustrating....

Has anyone else experienced this?  if so, any advice?  or is it just part of life from now on?

thanks,

Cory

Hey Cory, Long time no see. Wow you have done great on your weight loss. I probably wouldn't know you if I saw you. All I can really add to your questions is that sometimes what works one day doesn't work the next. I think a lot of it has to do with how fast you ate it and how well you chewed it up and was it dryer today than yesterday. I still to this day have horrible trouble with meats. I just can't eat very much of it or I get what I call the "Bariatric Pressure". I know that it gets aggravating, but that's how the weight comes off. Good to hear from you. Take care, Rita

I'm wondering if you should call Dr. B?  I had VSG on 5/28/08 and haven't thrown up at all.  But then I know immediately is something is not going to go well so maybe I'm just lucky and have a fast indicator of bad tummy reactions.  (went to the fair today and got a gyro - only ate a couple of bites of the meat and knew immediately not to eat more!)

Congratulations on your incredible weight loss.  You have done incredibly well!  That is super fast loss!  I have to admit to some jealousy...!

Cory, I do the same thing.  I did go about a month or 6 weeks without it but then I did again last Wednesday.  I agree that it is frustrating but like Rita said, I can usually figure out that it was too dry or too compressed or something.  I can hardly ever eat leftover beef or some chicken because it is too dry the second time around.  I hate the "loosing it" part but I have gotten it figured out and don't do it nearly so often.  You are doing awesome!!

Is chicken and other meat still too dry if you dip it in a sauce?  Like maybe lf ranch dressing or something?  Just curious!

The sauces help me and the chicken I fixed in the crock pot was fine reheated since I shredded it and it had the sauce on it as well.
