About my first visit w/Dr. Gorospe today

Hang in there Kim!  I get the wait thing, my PCP is a family practice doc who delivers babies, so I get to wait on that sometimes!  I am an OB nurse so I can't complain, I take peoples doctors away from the office too!!  I go to Dr. Gornichec in OKC, probably the same one you are talking about, cause I paid the $300.  I have friends who have had both Dr. G's and have heard nothing but good things about both.  OKC is a long trip, but it is a sister hospital to the one where I work so I feel like I will be with 'family' when I have my surgery.
Whatever you do, ask questions and make the right choice for you, that is what counts.  Your friends here will support you, no matter what.

Yes, Dr. Gornichec was my first choice of Dr. Because I have BCBS of MN and It will pay more if I go to a Blue Distinction center and He is a Blue Distinction Center.  But I just decided to be closer to home.  I don't blame you for going since you work for Integris.  I really like Kim in Dr. Gornichec's office. She was so good to answer my questions and make me an apt at my convenience.  I felt like she was a genuinely good person.  I felt bad for changing my mind, but I did what I felt was best for my family and me.

I don't know about your insurance, but with mine since my OOP was already met by time I had my surgery, I ended up getting back the 200.00 I paid up front to start the process plus his and Dr Kirk's Surgery "hold" fees.
400.00 for Dr G and 200 for Dr Kirk.

So I got back total of 600.00 from Dr G and 200.00 from Dr Kirk about 60 days following surgery after the insurance had paid.
