Bariatric Surgeon in OKC or Tulsa???

  Had a lap band done in April 08.  Did not like the results.  I have gained instead of losing.  I'm determined to get a gastric bypass done now.  oiI would like to hear from someone who has Dr. Ronnie Keith in Norman, OK or Dr. Luis Gorospe in Tulsa, OK.  Does anyone have any comments?

I've only heard wonderful things about both of them. I don't think you'd go wrong with either choice.

Dr. Keith's parnter, Dr. Lana Nelson, did my surgery. I had a wonderful experience and wonderful care. I've talked in the waiting room with Dr. Keith's patients and they all think the world of him. He is part of a Bariatric Center of Excellence.

Several of Dr. Gorospe's patients are here. I'm sure they will chime in. I've only heard wonderful reports about their care by Dr. Gorospe.

Thanks so much Shelly H.  I appreciate your input.  I'm so excited about getting this revision.  I live in Midwest City so I believe I'm going to go with Dr. Keith or Dr. Nelson.  I'm not sure if I will have a choice between them two.    I need to do something it's really critical.   I have Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, possibly sleep apena and [a family history of congestion heart failure and strokes.]  I'm 5'1" and about 195 lbs.  So, I can hardly wait to be healthy and to have some self esteem and confidence.

Dr Gorospe and his staff are wonderful and I have also heard good things of Dr Keith.  Feel free to PM me if you have any questions I could answer for you.  #1 thing is this is just like buying a house or a car...shop around and ASK QUESTIONS.  Best of luck

When you had your surgery how long did it take for you to be completely recoved?  If you do work,  how long did you take off for recovery? 

How long did you have to stay on liquids and mushy food?
