Well, the good news is, I got to see Dr. B today and he said I'm doing great !!!  The bad news, I found out yesterday that they're doing surgery on my wrist (For the 3rd time) on the 29th.  (Yes, I know !!!  I told them I couldn't do it until after the walk weekend !!!)   Hopefully this will be the last one, but my poor hair !!  Will it ever recouperate from all the anesthesia?  I'll be off work for at least a week to 10 days -- BORING -- (last time I redid my closet -- little did I know a few months later I would have lost enough weight that I had no clothes to fill it) and then I'll be out of court for a month !!!  CAN WE SAY BROKE?   So, buy me a drink when you see me -- oh, darn, we can't have alcohol !!!  Just say a prayer that I get over this one soon and my hair doesn't fall out !!!  AND NO MAKING FUN OF THE CAST !!!

I would buy you many drinks...you know that is why they make "virgin" drinks.  I feel your pain literally, I have what is called Kienbocks disease which is very rare disease centralized to the lunate bone in the wrist.  So, I have had two surgeries, and they are not fun...especially the cast thing.  I will be thinking of you...and sending healing vibes your way...keep that beautiful smile on your face lady, your hair may take a beating but you've got a beautiful smile.

Oh I'm sorry you're going to have to do this so soon.  I knew you mentioned that it was going to happen but you didn't know when.  Just get some reading materia.  I think you can ride your bike without your one hand!!!!  LOL  I'll be sure to buy you a "virgin" drink when I see you.  I know what you mean about the "poor hair" thing.  It's about to consume me too.  I hate this part.  It won't grow back in soon enough.  I told my hair lady this past week when she said "you really don't much to cut" that I know, it's all falling out or breaking off.  It's already short so maybe I just need to go ahead and shave it and wear a flat top or something.  It's dry, brittle and fuzzy....YUK!!!  You'll get thorough this.  We might have to borrow a du-rag from "sparklegirl"!!! LOL

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

The only concern Dr. B had was dehydration.  So, he said to have them let me drin****il 6 am and then pump me with IV fluids the day of surgery.  Hopefully, that will work !!!   In the meantime, when we're in Tulsa you guys have to remind me to drink, drink, drink, while we walk, walk, walk !!!

I'm so sorry you're having another surgery so quickly. I hope this is your final surgery for a very long time.

If anyone makes fun of your cast, threaten to use it as a weapon on their noggin'. ; )

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

You better watch out, Anna, I've been given permission to use it as a weapon !!!   It just depends on which kind they do this time.  But, trust me, it'll be on for a while so I'm sure if you can sign it you'll get the opportunity !

I'm so sorry you have to have another surgery.  I know how much I hate to be a patient and I'm sure you feel the same!

PS Loved your crock pot chicken recipe.  Made it yesterday and yum, yum, yum!!!  Thank you so much for sharing.  What other recipes do you know?
