Good morning my fellow Oklahomans!  I know I haven't been around lately, I'm a little overwhelmed with my new job.  We'll complete the first 4 weeks of school today, so maybe I'll feel better next week.  I have been to water aerobics class for two weeks straight, and walking on other days.  That has motivated me to stick to my eating plan also.  I have appts. at WW on Monday.  Speaking of Monday, Jen, my niece, is scheduled for surgery Monday morning.  We're both so excited we can hardly stand it.  I asked her last night if she is nervous, she says no, I'm just ready.  I understand that.

I was worried about my insurance, since I changed jobs, however; good news, it's all the same policy for all the schools in Texas, so even my policy number didn't change.  So there shouldn't be an issue.  Still waiting on information from my disability insurance as to whether they are going to pay or not, even though I don't plan on missing any work, they will still pay on some things.  Since this is a pre-existing condition and my policy did change on that, they may not pay....we'll see.  No big deal if they don't, but it would be nice.

Well, I'm off to stamp out some ignorance....or at least try.  :)  Some days I don't know who gets more ignorance stamped out...the kids or me!  LOL

Hugs,
Marsha

Stamping out ignorance -- I like that one, but don't ask me what I think of that statement when it comes to my school district!
Sounds like things are going well for you!

Way to go Marsha.  Too bad you won't be here on Tuesday so you could join us for Meet and Greet!  We'll be thinking about Jen on Monday.  I can feel her excitement.  That's exactly how I was...not nervous one bit but totally excited.  I hope your disability insurance will kick in if you need it.  I only missed 5 working days but my short term dissability would not have kicked in at all since my insurance did not cover my WLS.  They considered it "elective"...whatever!  Anyway, I didn't need to use it at all!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I hear ya sister!! I am a teacher too.  You must have some great ins. because mine wouldn't even come close to paying for me.  Listen people pay all kinds of money for crazy stuff. This is worth every penny!!  Well I must return to the blind leading the blind!!!

I admire and love you teachers and your dedication to higher learning.  I wont get too much into it, but I wish more people (especially parents) took a more active role in the education of the kids of today.  America is falling behind in education and its a sad thing.

Good luck to your family member who is fixing to have surgery.  Going to have to turn this bench into a baseball stadium before too long.  This family just keep growing and growing.

Hey there again!  Morgan, I teach in Texas, so we have different insurance.  I do know that Health Choice wouldn't pay for RNY for my friend who the doctors all told that she was going to die within the year if she didn't have it.  My health insurance has approved everything so far, and I'm confident that it will pay for the surgery, as long as I jump through their hoops...which I'm trying to do diligently.  I just am not sure about the disability insurance, but since I plan to have the procedure either during my Christmas Break or Spring Break, I shouldn't miss any work.  I'm shooting for December 22, that's my birthday, wouldn't that be a great birthday present!!!

I wish I was going to be in OKC on Tuesday also, but I have to come back to my babies on Tuesday, so I'll have to come home Monday evening, after Jen's surgery and I have my appts.
