My first visit is with Dr. Gorospe tomorrow!
I'm so excited!!!
I have decided to chage doctors so I can be closer to home! I met Dr. Gorospe at the supt group meeting last Monday. He seems like a very genuine person. The facilities are extreamly nice! So...I meet with Dr. Gorospe tomorrow morning. I really hope I can get the surgery before my deductable starts over! My sleep study is Oct 10th. I will have to go to a class I think, then cardio, psyc and so on from there! I hope they can schedule me for many tests in one day rather then having to take off of work several more times. Its hard on me to close the daycare! (Well, not so hard on me but the parents of the children In my care!)
Anyway! I just wanted to share my news!

I love Dr. Gorospe. My first visit was pretty simple. He talked to me about health issues and what to expect from the surgery. He will take the time to answer any guestions you have about him or the surgery. They will work with you to combine appointment days if you ask them to. I had my surgery a month after I was approved by insurance. Please Pm me if you have any more questions.

Unless you have a lot of questions, the first meeting with him is actually pretty quick. He will not rush you, just there to answer questions. His nurse will take you back to weigh and take a picture and make sure your paperwork is complete.

I went to a consultation with Dr G, before I had really chosen a surgeon. The first thing they did before I was taken into a room was to collect $200 from me personally, not my insurance company. This is non refundable, so if you are going to give that down payment, be sure he is your guy. I switched surgeons and did not get my money back...I hope it goes well for you
