OK...  So, for the past week or two I've had this itchy red rash around my incisions.  I guess it is an allergic reaction to the glue.  I'm almost 1 month out (Saturday) and STILL Have some glue left on one incision!!

About the rash...  I've been putting benedryl cream on it which is doing almost nothing.  It helps keep it from itching for awhile, but hasn't done anything to get rid of the rash.  I don't have any oral benedryl, but do have some zyrtec that I thought I'd try, but I keep forgetting.

What bothers me most is my belly button.  It is very red inside.  I'm making sure to dry it well after showers...  but, I don't know what I should put on it.  It doesn't seem to be the itchy rash like I have at my incisions.  It is not itchy, just very red.

What do ya all think?

Have you thought about putting talcum powder in the bely button?
As far as the glue, have you tried fingernail polish remover?  I know that the acetone will get rid of super glue which is essentially what the skin glue is.

I think I'd call Dr. B's office or the nurses station.  I'm sure they see this a lot and will have answers for you!!  Good luck.

I am almost one month out and I had the same red itchy rash around my incisions to, I put some kind of first aid hydrocortizone cream on mine making sure not to get it on the incision itself, mine cleared up within a week.  Good Luck.

I too got the red itchy rash around the incisions.  I put cortisone cream on the rash and it went away pretty fast.
