OK, I AM DRINKING MY 64+ OZ OF FLUID A DAY BUT I DON'T FIND MYSELF GOING TO THE BATHROOM AS OFTEN AS I THINK I SHOULD BE. IS THERE SOMETHING I'M DOING WRONG? I FEEL LIKE BEFORE I HAD SURGERY WHEN I DRANK A LOT OF WHATEVER KIND OF FLUID I WANTED, I HAD TO PEE A LOT. NOW I MAY GO 3 TIMES WHILE AT WORK AND SOMETIMES IT ISN'T EVEN A LOT. I JUST WONDER IF I AM RETAINING FLUID? HELP!!

I go ALOT!!!!!!  I am drinking mainly water and I am even up like 3 times at night.  Not sure which one of us is more normal.

When you go to the bathroom, do you pee a lot? Maybe your bladder is getting a little bigger since there isn't all the chub squishing it down? Just a thought!

NOT VERY MUCH AT ALL. MAYBE THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

I have noticed the same thing but I think it's because I can't drink nearly as much as I used to.  I usually get right to the 64 oz but I drank way more than that before surgery.  I just can't drink as much as pre-op!

Duh!  I meant can't drink as much post-op!

I felt that I noticed the same thing. However, when I had to do a 24 hr UA (ugh!) for the kidney specialist a month or two back, I was going a perfectly normal amount and pretty much equal to what I took in. It surprised me.

I am certain though if I eat salty things (like the dill pickles I've been wanting every day) then I do retain fluid for a day, or two.

I hope you get it figured out soon so you won't worry about it.

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly
