CPAP partial resolution

Hey, All.
I wanted to let you know that I called the medical supply guy, who's had my used CPAP machine in his care for nearly 2 months!
You would be proud of me. I was firm but nice, and he said that I can have a loaner CPAP, until the other one comes back from the manufacturer. I go in tomorrow morning at 10, to be fitted for a mask.
I'd appreciate your prayers. Because of being chloroformed and raped at the age of 15, I get panicky when anything gets put over my mouth and/or nose. I know God will help me not freak out all over this guy tomorrow.
Thanks for all your encouragement.
Blessings,
Mary

That's wonderful, Mary! I'm sorry this guy has obviously been a total slacker and delayed your progress.

I'll be praying for you and hopefully they will slowly introduce you to your mask.

When hubby first got his BiPap, they played soft music with a calming recorded voice giving slow and soothing instructions. They had him in a nice recliner and the lights were lowered. It was a great introduction and he's never had issues with it since.

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Hi, Shelly.
This has definitely been a learning experience, in more ways than one. Ultimately, though, God is in control, and, like I said, I've learned a lot.
Thank you for praying for me. Please continue. I'll post tomorrow, after it's all over. [I didn't mean that to sound so final.] :)
What a good experience for your husband. I'll be sitting in a medical supply place, so I doubt it will be similar. However, I did tell this guy the short version of what happened to me, so he won't be too surprised if I get weepy. I'm going to tell him to just get a mask on me, make sure it doesn't leak and then let my best friend (who's a nurse) and I take it from there.
Have a blessed day.
Mary

God is so goo isn't He...all the time!  I'm so glad this worked out for you and that you will have a machine to use tonight.  I know that I have been using one about 2 years and when I got use to it I wouldn't do without it.  I got so much better sleep and woke up rested and ready to go.  I have been able to have it turned down considerably and hopefully after I loose some more weight I will get to loose it!!  Good job Mary!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Thank you so much. Yes, God is good. I still amaze myself at how often I get all flustered and frustrated. I guess I think (deep down) that just because I'm a Christian, life should be trouble-free. Not so, of course. He is ready, willing, and able to work things out, as I trust Him, partner with Him, and wait for His timing. Sometimes, He has to wait on me, unfortunately. I'm working on it, though.
Blessings,
Mary
