Finally feeling better!
Cipro should kick that icky stuff to the curb! I'm so happy you're feeling better.
I do hope you're getting your fluids down to replace everything that was lost. Also, I hope you'll go to the doctor a little quicker next time. Those foreign bugs can lay you out flat in a short time!
Several years ago, I was hospitalized for several days for this very reason. I ended up with shigella ... which shocked all the docs and hospital staff ... and had to be reported to the state health department. I didn't drink the water, either!
Glad you are feeling better. I have been to Guatemala 3 times and each time I was lucky and did not catch anything. Last time I stayed with a family and there was no bottled water available so the only thing available to eat and drink was what they provided me. It was outside of the city so I even had to use the unfiltered tap water for brushing my teeth. I thought for sure I would be sick that time but got lucky again.
Glad you got that Cipro and you're starting to feel much better, Kim~ Hope you completely kick it soon!
