Yikes - losing tons of hair at 2 months! At this rate...
Does short hair hide the thinning or make it more apparent? I love my stylist but am wondering if I should go to someone that specializes in cancer patients or something just to get a good cut for the lack of hair. Anyone have a good stylist they would recommend for that?

Amy, this is a pretty common reaction to anesthesia and surgery. It will pass. In the meantime, make sure your hitting your protein goal every day and taking your vitamins as directed.
So far, I haven't had any post op hair loss. However, after I had each of our children I got a MAJOR receding hairline both times. The hair did come back, thank goodness. Temporary hairloss can happen with hormonal changes, too.
I think sometimes that those of us that are in the menopausal range may have a better chance of missing the hair loss problem. However, we have hot flashes and other issues to take its place. ; )
They say that once you start noticing the hair loss, the new hair if already growing in.
I have never seen anyone bald at support group (except a few men!) so you're going to be fine. So hang in there. I know it's rather upseting.
They sell the Biotin in 1,000 and 5,000. I bought the 1,000 first and when I found out they had 5,000 I threw out the original and took only the higher dose. I made it easy on myself cuz it's cheap!
