Mama Mia
Tonight 3 friends and I went to dinner and then out to the Civic Center to see Mama Mia. We went to Cafe Brazil on Walker and it was very good. My eating was good but could have been better. Then it was off to the Civic Center. We always park in the Boy Scout parking lot that the OKC PD sponsors. The OKC police spokesman, Paco somebody that you always see on TV, took our money. He is absolutely gorgeous and has a sense of humor and I'm in love. We had a wonderful time.
I did notice that the chairs aren't fitting as well as last time so I know I've gained weight. Although I have to work tomorrow, I plan on exercising (at least mowing my back yard) when I finish. I think I will try writing down everything I eat prior to eating it rather than while or after. Maybe that will make me think more. I'm kind of just rambling but I'm a little frustrated and mad at myself. Tomorrow (wait, it's already tomorrow) will be better.

Donna, I too sadly have been putting on weight, I was doing fairly well, but with the blow of no funding when I thought it was going to happen. I let myself down and started back to my old habits.. So I have signed up with two cool websites to make myself accountable for what I put in my body (I dont use the "D" word) and how much I move (I hate that nasty "E" word).
here is the links to them..

http://www.sparkpeople.com/
the first one i am using to track what the whole family eats each day.. and in the evening we discuss what they ate and how they can improve.. we started yesterday and we really need to improve alot! but suprisingly the kids agreed to do it and thought it was pretty cool.. I gave everyone the id and password so they can track thier own food
the second site i have just looked at a little bit. a friend told me about it and its pretty neat so far, it actually gives you menus and a shopping list. and you can customize the menu to your family. a bonus to use since we dont eat fish and I have alot of allergies.
Good luck and I hope this helps.. if you need someone to talk to PM me and I will send you my phone number

Sherrie-kudos to you for involving the entire family. Even if no one else has a weight problem-they will some day if they never learn how to eat. My Mom was a born again weigh****cher and never got the whole concept of teaching vs. lecturing, etc. which is a shame, because she knew a lot of stuff that I had to relearn myself later on.
Daddy was the actual Weigh****cher-and Mom tracked his food but it never occurred to anyone that I should track mine-so I just felt like a fat third wheel....LOL. Not bagging on my parents, they did the best they could-but I wanted to give you a little background so you'd know I actually do know what I'm talking about in this case.
I like the part where you discuss with your family what you eat each day and how to improve. I've been on sparkpeople and they are pretty good. There's another site called fatsecret.com and they have a lot of interesting things too. As always, take what you need and leave the rest. Thanks for thegood ideas.
