Hey guys!!  I just got home today from having surgery.  I haven't been on the boards much lately because I pulled a 40 hr week at my regular job then another 36 hrs over the weekend for some extra cash, and then before I knew it, my surgery date was here!!
All I know is I am hurting alot worse than I thought I was going to.  I have never had surgery before and just didn't expect to feel as bad as I did afterwards.  I have been making myself sip and walk but I am just hoping things get better!!  I am pretty impatient and I realize it's only a day since my surgery, but anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to feel better?  Thanks for any thoughts!

First of all, congrats for making it to the loser's bench, girl~ You slipped that one right by me! LoL!  Well, just keep sipping and walking and try to take it easy and relax.  That's the best suggestions I can give to make yourself feel better.  Surgery tends to leave a person sore, that's for sure.  *hugs* and I hope you have a speedy recovery!

It's one of those things (surgery) that gets a little better every day, and truly, the more you move around and sip the faster you will feel better.  Staying hydrated will help with energy levels and muscle stiffness.

Thanks guys!!  I do feel a lot better today.  I just get discouraged because I am impatient about things!  I am drinking.... I am forcing myself to do it, but I have taken in about 30 oz so far today.  I still have a ways to go but I will get those fluids in.  Thanks for all your support!!

Congrats girly we are finally on the bench, did they give you one of those propel bottles that is flavored water.  I didnt think I was going to be able to stomach it but I was severly burned out on water plain so I bougth some more of the propel and it actaully goes down smooth.  You should try it, of all else fails you can say you tried it.  Hope your doing ok.  I am better today i have to say my bad day wasnt the third day it was the second.

The one thing that I can say to myself is "This to shall pass"

Your new tummy will teach you some patience because it is a learning process and we are all different.  But hang in there and you will feel a little better every day.  Keep active - that is key to getting better quickly!

Congratulations!  You are gonna love the new you!!!
