Kmccrary Update
I cautiously say this but I believe I am finally on the mend. I ended up in the ER a couple of days ago AGAIN because I thought my blood was low. When I would walk, I would get tightness in my chest and cramps in my back. I've had to have transfusions before but not for about a year so I figured my hemoglobin was low again. Well thankfully, I got a wonderful lady doctor who had a mom who had the exact same symptoms I have been having when she had her bypass. She gave me a script for Pepsid and Caltrate (or something like that - can't remember now what it's called) and this is day 2 and I have almost no nausea, have already drank 32 oz. so far (which is twice what I usually drink at work) and I ate what I call a decent lunch. I am so encouraged by this. I still have to go in for a treadmill cause they did find a little abnormal rythym from this EKG and the one a month ago and an MRI on my shoulder that has been giving me fits, but I feel human again.
I really want to thank everyone for helping me through this very difficult time. It has always been worth the journey, but it was definitely a difficult one.

It's so good to hear from you, Kim. I'm so sorry for all you've been through, but it seems that you've turned a corner. At least I pray that is so. I will continue to pray for you.
Blessings,
Mary

I am so glad to hear that things are finally looking up for you. Did you have to lose anything before surgery? If I remember correctly, you didn't. Dr Keller was just talking about that tonight and how they are theorizing that the weight loss before prepares your body for what is coming. Maybe that is why yours had a hard time? Just a thought.
